Yeah, just like anybody else we make use of the roadside rest stops.
This is off of the I-10 freeway. In addition to the normal reasons for a rest stop, it’s a good chance to talk about what we are experiencing in the cars and switch drivers and cars.
We equipped the cars with radios to enable us to stick together and communicate instantly about issues happening during this long ride.

Alright, alright. I couldnt take any more of this. I've seent the CTS in Detroit. I flew to New York to see it again. My C230 lease is up September 1st, so I just had to order one of these. I just got home from putting a deposit down. The order will go to the factory on Monday.
The only disappointment is that it doesnt appear that you can tour the plant in Lansing in which their assembled?!? How disappointing is that?

Wow, someone's excited to get his hands on the new CTS. I am too, but with pricing information still unreleased, I can't come to terms with putting a deposit down. How does that work anyway, can you get your deposit back if the price is like out of your price range once you order it? Or how about if you want to adjust the features you put in to get a more reasonable price...it's probably too late once they start building the car huh? Oh well, guess I just have to hold off for now.

I am excited about this car too. I would be happy to place an order for you, keep you informed about the prices, last min changes, details, etc. and at the same time making you proud to buy an AMERICAN CAR AGAIN!! I've been doing this at the same dealer for over 25 years, drop me an e-mail if interested!!

I too am dissapointed you cannot tour the plant and pick up your new CTS - I wanted to fly my son there and then enjoy the midwest for a week and drive home to the Seattle area.
I think the US has as much if not more to offer than Germany and MB tour and delivery packages - Cadillac - your missing an opportunity!
Can't wait to physically see the car in the different colors - need to see before I choose one.

If I may humbly suggest one 'factory delivery' gimmick to go along with a plant tour, it would be an invitation to vist the GM Heritage Center after picking up your car. After seeing it myself, I can say without a doubt that it has more to offer an automobile enthusiast than all the gingerbread cottages and oompah bands in Germany can.

They already do this for the owners of a Corvette Z06. They took us to the Plant were they hand build all the LS7 engines. I've been to the Lansing plant, I go to MSU so we've been given the opportunity. Your not missing much, the plant isn't anything spectaular, although it is cool to see the car being built. GM is spending more money to build their car's than any other car manufacturer, just all the money is in the car not pointless trips that you will forget in about a year when your pretty benz breaks down.

Some of your competitors are offering vehicle test-drives prior to their respective launch dates. I have intentions of purchasing a CTS (V series likely),but I will attend one that I have been invited to gauge what others have to offer. I hope Cadillac will offer something comparable to these opportunities. Please let me know so I can sign up!!
