Over the Rhine

After the session at Dudenhofen, the group set off for Nuerburgring. This included a nice route through a series of roads through the countryside.

And, it also necessitated crossing the Rhine River via a ferry near the city of Mainz.

Will the car have some new security features such as a locking gas door and a valet key so that I can leave my car with a valet driver I have never met and feel that the things in the trunk will still be there when I get the car back.

I see the first thing about this car I don't like. Why would anybody put the gas filler hole on the passenger side rather than the drivers side?

That makes no sense to me. It's much easier to judge where to stop if its on the drivers side and most stations are setup with flow lanes with the assumption its on the drivers side and its much easier to fill if its on the drivers side.

All fillers should be on the drivers side and surely in the design stage it could have been put over there without any problems unless the gas tank is off center and located on the pass side as well.

Where is the gas tank and how many gallons does it hold?

Why are the performance brakes NOT available with the Y43 all season 18" tires and rear drive with auto trans, while they are with AWD?

When might I get my car if we ordered first of July?

Why would anyone put the fuel filler door on the driver's side? With it on the passenger's side, one pulls up to the pump with the passenger's side near the pump, leaving a wide open area for the driver's door to be opened without the risk of striking anything (like concrete) with the driver's door. Seriously, as someone coming from a long history of European cars which generally have the fuel door on the passenger side, I find the arrangement on the new CTS to be quite logical. I have no problems figuring out where to stop the car so I can reach the fuel filler neck with the pump handle.
