Thanks

By Liz
Yeah, I know . . . it’s the obligatory holiday message. But seriously, as we begin our break for the Thanksgiving holiday here in the US, I can’t help but extend our thanks to those of you who come to our little blog. We stepped out on a bit of a limb when we started this nearly a year ago. Thanks for participating, thanks for tolerating our inexperience as bloggers, thanks for hanging in there through our inexact and imperfect schedule of updates.

Have an enjoyable and safe holiday!

And thanks to all of you at Cadillac/GM.

Happy Holidays!

Anyone realize the 2008 CTS Brake pedal is set too close to the gas pedal making it difficult to use the gas without clipping the brake?

Size 10 regular in case your wondering and I also own a 2007 CTS which does not have this problem..........

First: thanks for the answers to my questions.

Second: how long is 'keep tuned'?

Third: two weeks between blogs and only six answers for approximately 35 questions, I think people are lossing interest, which is a shame for a blog which has been very interesting and informative for Cadillac owners.

Liz,

Any word yet on the coupe? Will it be more performance oriented? (i.e. 6 speed, AWD, DI and lighter?)

When do the first cars get built? When can we expect the first spy pix from Brenda Priddy and Co?

Liz,

Hats off to Cadillac on a great year. The new CTS is beautiful and is selling extremely well from everything I've seen. Just one question, when will it be available with a twin turbo diesel or hybrid drivetrain (or both preferrably)?

While browsing through the CTS brouchoure I noticed a switch in the drivers armrest just under the outside mirror switch with two mirror figures. Is this for power folding outside mirrors? And will this option be available on the '09 model?

Liz and Rob - nearly a month has passed without a comment. Have you been "costed out"?

I think it is time to send out a search party for Liz.

I agree the gas pedal and brake are too close. Other than that item and the lack of an underhood light--which seems "cheap" the car is a gem. Have 3,200 miles and it has far and away exceeded expectations.

Maybe someone can get this site going again with test information on the CTS-V, now that it is supposed to be shown at the Detroit Auto Show?

Things have been pretty slow on this blog! The 2009 CTS V-series info is all being run by the media now so I want to hear from some of you that were behind this masterpiece!! Shoot, you guys even put bluetooth in for those of us complaining about that missing on the 2008 base car!

New highly technical CTS-V info is needed on GM’s official Cadillac blog.
Congratulations on Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s TOP SAFETY PICK award for 2008

Why not a "V" with a Northstar V-8. The only thing missing (these days) is having Active Fuel Management (AFM). This could end up a very Up-Scale version of any Cadillac with all the performance the N* can provide? With the announced end of the "Ultra V-8",... how about continuing the N* as a low volume Premium product available as an option?
