Let me begin by apologizing for our absence. I won’t offer a litany of excuses. You know the story: really busy . . . blogging is not really our “day job” . . . lots going on . . . holidays . . . kids . . . etc.
We really value and enjoy this. And we have every intention of keeping it going. Not only that, we’re mulling over some ideas to make it bigger and better. Soon we will add another team member to this site, in fact. As you probably know, we’re working on the next Cadillac, the CTS-V. This is a machine created as a result of an incredible amount of development, not surprisingly. And that should make for some really good stories. One of the key guys leading that development will be checking in here to tell some of those stories. Stay tuned for that.
We’re entering a pretty interesting time in our development. Even beyond the V-Series, lots of things are at happening that we’ll be able to share a lot about different aspects of our process.
Again, we apologize for the unscheduled sabbatical. We’re back and looking forward to more posts as the new year unfolds.

The blog led me to purchase a '08 CTS in November (and I still grin every time I get behind the wheel!), so I am very happy to hear that the blog will continue.
One question - is there any plan to update other Cadillac interiors to emulate the CTS's interior (french stitching, etc)?

Nice to have you back - Happy New Year!
Any news on the coupe? Will either variant ever be offered with AWD, DI and the 6 speed manual?

I like the new CTS a lot... but want to know more about the CTS-V. That's the vehicle I want! I hope you can give us plenty of information soon about the V. Thanks in advance.

Happy New Year.
I've heard in the news about the discontinuation of development on DOHC V8's.
Do'es this meen more corperate GM OHV's in Cadillac's, maybee DI,OHV or perhaps forced induction V6 or BOTH.
I can't wait to find out, and I'm sure other GM enthusiasts feel the same way!

Welcome back Rob,
Any chance you can shed some light on a Provoq with a more conventional drivetrain (BRX?). Provoq has beautiful exterior, and interior similar to my 2008 CTS. Would be a tough choice between that and a CTS Sportwagon. Would love to see one with the turbocharged 2.0L Ecotech, about 270hp? Horsepower of the 3.6L V6 with mileage of the 2.4L 4.

A lotta good questions here, more than we can probably handle!
Marc - Yes we do already apply aspects of the CTS interior process to other Cadillacs. Namely the SRX Crossover has this type of interior - we call it a "cut-and-sew" process. We also use it on the STS-V and XLR-V.
As for your questions on the Provoq Concept, we're probably not ready to get into that on this blog - which is pretty much devoted to the development and testing side of things. But when and if that concept progresses into our development process, then we probably will post about it more. But for now that one is in the "proposal" phase, rather than the development phase.
