It's sort of ironic that I'm the new guy here on the blog. I checked this site out myself many times throughout '07, as Liz and Rob are of course colleagues of mine. So I guess you could say I've moved from the audience onto the podium. Joining them as a new blogger on their site is a cool opportunity that should be fun.
I was thinking of ways to introduce myself here. And it occurred to me that this video might be a good way to do that -- probably better than what I would have written! This was shot last week at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, right after we debuted the upcoming new CTS- V.

Welcome Ed,
Watched the video. Good to put a face with the name. Hopefully you can give us some more detail regarding the performance of the CTS-V. Handling, acceleration, track times, etc. Also, I'm VERY interested in information about the CTS coupe. I hope to trade my 2008 CTS in on one. When will I be able to order one? Just one change I'd like to see on the coupe: Change the single, center exhaust to dual exhausts similar to the current CTS. The single, center exhaust looks weak. Thanks.

Ed - Great to have you aboard! We're a bit of a handful, but Liz and Rob did fine keeping us informed and happy, so I'm sure you'll only make it better! What does a Program Engineering Manager do? Are you now working with a CTC-V in a Program Engineering Manager spot or maybe an update to the XLR-V? CTS-V is absolutely Stunning, and I can't wait to see it on the road, and on the track. Will Cadillac return to racing this year?

SG - When and if a coupe is announced as a "production" model, it's possible you'll see evidence of it here. For specs and data on the CTS-V, cadillac.com has some really good info, and we're told that the official site will have some excellent updates on the V-Series as we move thru 2008.

Scot -
1 - We'll get a bio from Ed up on the "about the authors" section. . . as soon as he writes one!
2 - Good question on racing. We don't have the answer right now. But there should be some news on that coming soon.
