Edmunds.com, source of much auto commentary and research, has just announced the results of their Consumers’ Top Rated Awards. 19 Categories are in this study, covering pretty much all the market from small cars up to big trucks and vans. CTS and CTS-V are 2 of the winners — CTS in the “Sedan $35-$45K” category, and CTS-V in the “Sedan over $45K” group.

A couple of thoughts on this. First, this is real consumer/public input provided to Edmunds, who ask owners to sumbint their evaluation. So this really does answer the oft-asked question of “who builds cars that people really want.” Secondly, consider the number of sedans in the “$35K-$45K” range. Every major automaker is represented there (unlike many categories) and some of the industry’s absolute best cars are in this group.
