The guys at Motor Trend have driven the new SRX, and they’ve got a brand new video comparing it head-to-head against the Lexus RX. Check it out here.

Of course you’ll expect us to note how significant the new Cadillac is.  But it’s also a good reminder about the Lexus RX. It’s dominance in this segment of luxury crossovers is remarkable, something we respect a lot as a competitor.  And it’s exactly why folks like Motor Trend are in a big hurry to make this kind of comparison. This video points out the fact that the new SRX competes strongly, but does not imitate the Lexus. After all, the Lexus is so well-defined, it doesn’t make much sense to copy it!  The goal of SRX is to make a more dynamic alternative….anxious to see if people think we’ve achieved that or not.
