As long as I’m taking on issues well outside my range (Washington, DC, global economics, etc) why not Hollywood? The new movie “Cadillac Records” came out last weekend. I know what you’re thinking: “this is a movie about the 1950s and totally irrelevant to today.” Even so we can’t help but get a little kick out of it. Like us or not, part of Cadillac is its special resonance as a cultural touchstone. That’s a fancy way of saying that this brand is a strong symbol – and even today those of us connected to Cadillac take that as a responsibility, a point of pride, and a stewardship.
